On Saturday, May 6, 2017 – several Neumann employees and our families got together at Jester Park to help build, scrape and paint for Jester Park Beautification Day. We were rewarded with plenty of sunshine, fresh air and blue skies!
A small but mighty crew – we managed to knock out two items on Jester Park’s project wish-list!
The old enclosure was dismantled and replaced. Volunteers measured, cut and pieced the new enclosure together.
While one team worked on the enclosure - another team worked on the fence.
The fence was scraped then painted with the help of little hands. They had fun and took their jobs very seriously!
They also took their donut breaks very seriously!
Beautification Day at Jester Park was a great opportunity to help improve the popular county park while spending a sunny Saturday morning outdoors.
Thanks to Alec Schaufenbuel, our Assistant Safety Director and active volunteer for Polk County Conservation (PCC) who, together with Neumann Community Outreach committee members, organized the volunteer day.
Thanks to Pat Spain, PCC Volunteer Coordinator for coordinating this once again! Learn more about the many year-round volunteer opportunities with Polk County Conservation as well as activities and events offered to the public.
