OSKALOOSA, Iowa (May 24, 2017) – Neumann Brothers, Inc. has been awarded the Stephen Animal Shelter project in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The new 6,300 SF building will house both cats and dogs available for adoption. When complete, the space will include a cat colony adoption center, small and large dog areas, exterior dog runs, a dog training area and a medical treatment/care area.
Construction of the new facility, designed by DesignBuild Solutions, Neumann’s in-house design-build subsidiary, began May 29, 2017 and be completed by Christmas of 2017. The new building will be constructed using concrete slab-on-grade, wood-framed and masonry construction with insulated metal panel and timber-frame elements on the exterior façade.
Those dedicated to the project include Project Executive Chad Bunner, Project Manager Brian Hostetler, Superintendent Nick Doyle and Project Administrator Erin Davis.
