Des Moines, IA (April 2011) - Neumann Brothers, Inc. recently had the honor of achieving partner supplier status through the Achieving Excellence Program with John Deere, one of the world's largest makers of farm equipment, and also a leading producer of construction, forestry, and commercial and residential lawn care equipment.
"In today's competitive marketplace, being selected as a partner with John Deere is really a tremendous accomplishment," President and CEO Marshall Linn said.
John Deere created the Achieving Excellence program to successfully compete in a global market by ensuring their suppliers share their world-class vision and commitment to continuous improvement in all areas. "Achieving excellence is the process to align our efforts and those of our suppliers. It is a process that builds strong relationships with suppliers who are successful in supporting aggressive strategies for adding genuine value to our products and services," R.W. Lane, Deere & Co. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said.
Recognition of supplier performance is an integral part of the Achieving Excellence process. A John Deere "Partner" is classified as a supplier who exceeds performance standards, has reached world-class levels and has a measurable effect on the satisfaction level of customers. Suppliers in the Partner classification are given the opportunity to work on new designs and bid for additional business. They are also eligible to attend John Deere training programs and are invited to participate in John Deere Supply Management conferences and recognition events.
"We have done work for John Deere for many years," Project Manager Chad Bunner said. "Achieving the 'Partner' status is a testament to our great working relationship with John Deere."
