Des Moines, IA (August 2012) – Neumann Brothers Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mike Simpson was recently appointed to the Master Builders of Iowa Board of Directors.

“MBI is the recognized leader of the construction industry in the State of Iowa and provides its members with a comprehensive array of educational, safety, environmental, labor, legal, professional development and legislative services,” Simpson said. “I’m honored to have been selected to sit on the Board.”

In addition, recent MB”Eye” on the Future graduate and Neumann Project Manager, Matt Davis, was elected by his peers to serve a one year on the Master Builders of Iowa Board of Directors.>

Each year the MB”Eye” on the Future class nominates and votes for a member of their class to serve on the MBI Board of Directors for one year. The 2012 class selected Matt Davis to serve that term at their final class meeting. As the class candidate Matt will observe the processes and decisions the MBI Board of Directors handles year after year.

“The MB”Eye” on the Future is a worthwhile program that encourages leadership,” Davis said. “Sitting on the Board is a great extension of that program.”

The MB”Eye” on the Future program was designed to promote leadership within the construction industry. The program seeks out individuals who can become industry leaders at the local, state, and national levels. Ultimately the program is about encouraging passion and fostering a high level of industry involvement.

Six classes were held from August to January in various locations across the state of Iowa where once a month students receive training on leadership, management, presentation skills, HR, Project Delivery and other pertinent industry issues. In addition they develop relationships with their colleagues from around the state and build a network of professionals across geographic, professional and economic lines.

Going forward, Neumann Brothers has selected Project Manager Berry Reeves as the representative for the 2013 MB”Eye” on the Future program. “I’m very excited for this great learning and leadership opportunity with MBI,” Reeves said.
