DES MOINES, Iowa – Neumann Brothers, Inc. has begun work on the Des Moines Register’s space on the first floor of the Capital Square Building in downtown Des Moines. The project is to be completed in January 2014.
Neumann Brothers is responsible for the demolition of the old Post Office and Embassy Club space within the building. The project includes the construction of a new reception area for the newly renovated Register’s offices located on the fourth and fifth floors. This space is to serve as a welcome center for the Des Moines Register's consumers.
Work rooms and community space are also included in the project. The renovated area will include new finishes, tile, carpet, drywall, ceilings, and millwork. Since Neumann Brothers is completing renovation work in an occupied space, planning and scheduling is crucial to prevent disruptions within the building.
“It's great to continue our partnership with the Des Moines Register to assist them in providing the downtown community a more accessible space in the Capital Square Building,” says Matt Davis, Project Manager.
Neumann Brothers completed the relocation of the Des Moines Register to the Capital Square Building in June of this year.
