GRINNELL, Iowa – The groundbreaking ceremony for Grinnell Mutual's new 33,000 square foot conference center took place this morning at their company headquarters.
The addition features a tiered auditorium with 250 fixed seats, flexible meeting rooms with operable partitions, a commercial kitchen, and dining for 250 people. The addition will have a dedicated separate entrance from the main building and a new parking lot for 200 cars.
The conference center will adjoin Grinnell Mutual’s existing headquarters on the south side of the building. The new facility is scheduled to open in May 2015 with the company’s Annual Meeting as one of its inaugural events in June. Grinnell Mutual also plans to make the facility available to the community for local events
