Project Description:

This project added two floors to an existing legal educational facility on the Drake University campus in Des Moines. The addition consisted of office space, conference rooms, and a courtroom, where mock trials are held to expose students to the "feeling" of working in a courtroom setting.

The mock courtroom is fully equipped with a judge's bench, witness stand, counsel tables, and jury box. A raised level auditorium provides seating for students and audience members as they overlook the courtroom. The auditorium includes an adjacent jury room, complete with a full kitchen for lengthy deliberations.

Neumann also built a two-story atrium lobby with curved paneled walls and a dual curved oak staircase as part of the project.
