renovation / restoration
Renovation projects range in scope from making history with tenant improvement, remodeling, additions, to complete gutting and renovation of spaces and buildings. Restoration projects preserve history in restoring buildings to match and/or refurbish their original integrity. Restoration may also include updating the essential elements of the building required to meet standards for occupant safety. Most notably, Neumann Brothers has become one of the Midwest’s premier restoration contractors, successfully completing a number of restoration and renovation projects at the Iowa State Capitol Building. With just as much pride Neumann also adds to this long list of renovation successes with such projects as Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield, LaMair Mulock Condon, and Des Moines Federal Bldg Façade.

Safety First, Safety Always

Neumann Brothers considers safety to be the number one priority on every job site. To emphasize this philosophy, Vice President & Officer of Safety, John Neumann, oversees the company’s proactive approach to safety. Before any work begins, each project is assigned an on-site safety officer and a customized site-specific safety manual is developed. The manual covers safety issues specific to the work to be performed, Neumann’s safety procedures and an Emergency Response Plan. All Neumann policies and procedures meet or exceed OSHA standards. The manual also contains forms for weekly safety inspections, weekly ‘Toolbox Talk’ sessions, and monthly supervisors’ safety meetings. Neumann prides itself in being a leader in the industry with our safety programs and record. We believe a safe site is a productive site. Safety not only protects those in, on and around the job, but also eliminates costly time delays and helps maintain a positive atmosphere for all involved.
