Neumann Brothers, Inc. performed the design-build of this 100,000 SF precast high-bay warehouse on a 10 plus acre site located adjacent to the Des Moines International Airport in Des Moines, Iowa. We worked with the owners to provide the size, construction type and property improvements to meet their needs.
We coordinated plans, site improvements, MEP scope, procurement, permitting with the city, permitting the FAA for runway clearance of adjacent DSM airport, construction and closeout. We self-performed the layout, concrete foundations, door and hardware installations and, as the construction manager, we scheduled and administrated the various sub-contractors needed to complete this project.
The exterior load bearing, insulated, precast concrete walls support a steel, open web bar-joist roof. The north glazing is aluminum frames (thermally broke) and insulated glass. The roof is two (2) layers of ISO insulation and 60 mil TPO mechanically attached. By coordinating the mechanical screening, the utility meter entrance locations and plantings, the owner earned economic benefits with the city.
