Neumann completed the newest addition to EMC’s campus - a 5-story building including a level of subterranean parking. The project included a high performance exterior building shell curtain wall system.
Each floor of the building serves a different function - including a print shop and tenant spaces, a wellness center on the second floor and a meeting space and auditorium with training classrooms and collaboration spaces on the third floor. The fourth floor is open office space and the fifth floor penthouse is home to five air handlers, a boiler and two generators.
The work included renovation of the existing mechanical 9th floor plant serving the 717 Mulberry facility with expanded capacity to serve the new 219 building as well. Renovation work included new and upgraded chillers, boilers, and a new cooling tower to support both buildings.
The project received LEED-NC Gold certification in July of 2018.
