This holiday season we spent time giving back to the communities that mean the most to us. We want to start the new year by shining a spotlight on all the acts of giving that our team accomplished in the previous year!

In November, six members of our team filled food boxes at the Meals from the Heartland in Des Moines.

Continuing into December, we announced our recipients of the Neumann Heart Fund.

The Neumann Heart Fund was created to strengthen Central Iowa by supporting nonprofits working on some of our region’s most pressing needs. Categories to support and recipients are chosen by the heart of our company – Neumann Employees.

Recipients Include:

Puppy Jake Foundation: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs.

Van Meter Community Development: A collaboration with the citizens and businesses of Van Meter for the purpose of promoting growth and improving quality of life within our community.

John Stoddard Cancer Center: is among the top achieving cancer programs in the nation and has been recognized for its quality cancer care. Their high standard of care comes from decades of research, cancer treatment experience and cancer care technological superiority.

Ellipsis: Ellipsis is central Iowa’s critical safety net for kids and families in need. By providing the care, encouragement and skills development needed for a lifetime of success, they’re breaking down barriers, rewriting stories and empowering families to thrive together.

Food Bank of Iowa: Food Bank of Iowa fights hunger so no Iowan has to struggle to find food. They’re here to help when you need us. And appreciate your help, whether it’s through donations of time, money or food.

World Food Prize: World Food Prize’s mission is to elevate innovations and inspire action to sustainably increase the quality, quantity and availability of food for all.

We would like to grant our sincerest appreciation to these recipients for all they do in their communities.

Throughout December our team spent the entire month running a coat drive to help those needing extra support staying warm during the winter months. We were able to collect 23 coats and additional mittens, scarves, and hats. Our donations went to the Oskaloosa Peer Helpers where all contributions will go to kids in need at the local elementary school. Our staff went and learned about what the program meant for a few of the peer helpers as well as ways to help in future years, as the number of kids in need continues to grow.

Closing the year Neumann awarded a community foundation grant to Love INC of Mahaska County to help them create a new Connection Center where they’ll serve over 1,700 individuals a year. The center will create a welcoming, permanent home where neighbors in need find help, hope and lasting change.

Love INC of Mahaska County serves as a central hub connecting individuals and families in need with the tools they need to thrive. This includes services such as; substance abuse support and recovery, family and parenting education, job skills and training, life skill development, spiritual and emotional care, and other services.

Neumann hopes to continue and grow our community support throughout the 2026 year.
